- Ira Glass on Taste vs. Ability (November 6, 09)
- This is so good to hear. I dislike almost everything I design and have folders full of work that’ll never see the light of day, but that’s OK. One day my ability will catch up with my taste, I just have to keep at it. The fact that Glass is brave enough to play his old tapes like that proves how genuine the advise is.
- XKCD Movie Narrative Charts (November 2, 09)
- Awesome. I especially love the one for Primer. Sums the film up pretty well.
- 10/GUI (October 14, 09)
- Awesome. But why not an on-screen software keyboard? Or even better, a keyboard projected under the fingers on the touchpad? The localisation and app-specific benefits would be massive and, I think any iPhone owner would agree, it doesn’t take long to get used to.
