Web Development and Design Work

When I’m not snowed under with school work I try to take on small freelance projects or do some front-end design and development for Made Media. Below are some of the things I’ve managed to roll out over the past couple of years. If you have any questions or would like to get in touch about a project, feel free to drop me an email at sam@samrayner.com.

Becky’s Gap Year Blog

Becky’s Gap Year Blog

A travel log created for my friend Becky when she went to Sri Lanka and India on her gap year. Powered by Tumblr and HTML5 where possible.

Phat ‘eds Ultimate

Phat ‘eds Ultimate

I play Ultimate Frisbee at uni so offered to redesign the team’s website. Built on top of the Get Simple CMS, the site is chock full of HTML5 and CSS3 and includes info for new students, results, photos and tournament dates pulled from a shared Google Calendar.

Swing Theory

Swing Theory

A site created for a 9-piece swing band I played rhythm guitar in. The band has since disbanded but there are still some photos and demo tracks up there for you to have a good laugh at.

This Made My Day

This Made My Day

What started out as an attempt to make one post every day for a year. Now my personal blog for anything that catches my eye or makes me smile. Powered by the excellent Tumblr.

Tudor Rose School of Motoring

Tudor Rose School of Motoring

A redesign of the website for Tudor Rose School of Motoring, a professional driving school run by Terry Jeffries that has operated throughout Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas in the West Midlands since 1995. Includes Google Maps integration for key areas covered in lessons.
